
BIOGRAPHY
Ceylan Rogers is a London-based professional flautist and woodwind player with extensive national and international experience as a soloist, chamber, and orchestral musician. Over the years, she has performed and recorded in prestigious venues such as Abbey Road Studios, the Royal Albert Hall, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and the historic Aspendos and Ephesus amphitheatres.

Ceylan holds BMus and MMus (Hons) degrees from Goldsmiths, University of London, where she was awarded the Alexander Ivashkin Scholarship in recognition of her outstanding performance ability upon entry to her Master’s degree in 2020.

Her artistic interests span Baroque music and contemporary works that explore extended flute techniques, altered flutes, and the integration of electronics. In 2021, she received a Bert Jansch Foundation Grant for her research on Baroque music and advanced ornamentation techniques.

Ceylan began her professional music education at the age of 14, studying at the DEU State Conservatoire and later at the AU State Conservatoire. In 2004, she was awarded a scholarship for postgraduate study at The Centre for Advanced Studies in Music (ITU), where she performed in numerous recitals and orchestral concerts, collaborating with distinguished musicians.

In 2002, she joined the Antalya National State Opera and Ballet as a flute and piccolo player, touring both nationally and across Europe.
By 2008, she was performing in major London productions and musical events attended by audiences including Prince Harry.

Alongside her performing career, Ceylan is a dedicated and experienced music educator, teaching flute, clarinet, saxophone, piccolo, and recorder to students of all ages and abilities — from beginners to advanced professionals. She teaches at several leading schools in and around London and also offers private tuition.

Ceylan regularly collaborates with musicians across various ensembles, performing in duos and trios with piano, harp, guitar, violin, cello, and larger orchestral settings.
